Tony Caine played just one first grade game with the Sharks in 2006 (27/5/06) and suffering a knee injury while attempting a kick that was charged down by Warriors' prop Steve Price. After a stint on the sidelines, Caine shifted to Saints in 2007, debuting off the bench for the Dragons in round 1.
Caine played in nine first grade games in 2007 but was later released (in 2008) when the same nagging knee injury forced him to quit the game.
Reports in 2008 had Caine indicating he would be completing his studies - Diploma in Financial Planning - while trying to maintain his fitness.

Born in Gosford (NSW) in 1975, Carlaw was a veteran of 136 first grade games before signing with Saints in 2004. He debuted in 1997 for the Hunter Mariners before linking up with Melbourne, Balmain and Wests Tigers. He played with the Warriors in the 2002 Grand Final and backed up again in 2003 before being released. A solid defender and powerful runner, Carlaw was all but signed with UK Super League club, the Salford Reds and applied for a work permit; but the deal fell through in early 2004.

Carstairs was the first junior from the St George district to be selected for Australia, playing in two Tests on the 1921-22 Kangaroo tour (St George half 'Rickety' Johnston was also selected).
Top first grade point scorer for club in 1922, 1924 & 1925.
Played in Saints' first premiership-deciding final in 1927.
Mentioned as being at the centre of the 'Earl Park riot' of 1928.

A digger in both World Wars, Carstairs' death was prematurely reported whilst he was fighting in the Middle East in W.W.II..
Passed away in 1966.

A Kiwi junior, Rangi Chase previously played first grade for Wests Tigers (one appearance, scoring one try, 2/7/2006) before being signed by Saints.
In 2008, Rangi Chase was named in New Zealand's initial 49-man World Cup training squad. He
was later selected for New Zealand Maori, playing in the World Cup curtain raiser against The Australian Indigenous Dreamtime team, won 34-26 by the Dreamtime team.

Born in Port Kembla 18 April 1979 and a Shellharbour Sharks junior, Matt Cooper enjoyed athletics when young and was involved with the local surf club. Weighing 92kg and standing at 188cm, Cooper posseses natural speed and took some stopping in 2003.
One of the games most underated centres, Cooper was nominated for the club's Integral Energy Dragons Medal (won by Ben Hornby) and was awarded the the club's Geoff Selby Memorial NRL Coaches Award in 2003. Winner of 2004 'Red V Members Player of the Year', voted by Dragons supporters.
Cooper was selected for Country Origin in 2003 and again in 2004.
In 2004, following a series of stand-out performances, he was selected for NSW in State of Origin 3 and was later named in Kangaroo squad for the 2004 Tri-Nations series, touring to the UK as well as France and the USA.
Also in 2004, Cooper was the club's leading first grade try scorer, posting 17 tries from 23 appearances.
He gained rep honours again in 2005, cementing a centre spot in the NSW side alongside team mate Mark Gasnier. He was then selected in the Kangaroo Tri-Nations squad of 2005, playing in four Tests including the Tri-Nations Final at Elland Road in Leeds. On the same tour, Cooper also played for Australia in a one-off Test match against France in Perpignan.
In 2006, Cooper was again selected for Australia, scoring a try in the Anzac test match against New Zealand. In the same year, Cooper was ruled out of State of Origin I with a hamstring injury. He was recalled into the NSW side for in Origin III.
In 2007, Cooper played all three State of Origin matches for NSW.
Also in 2007, Cooper was the leading try scorer in first grade with 11 tries. In round 12 of the same year he played a one-off match as Dragons captain (Dragons def Broncos 11-4 at Kogarah).
Cooper was also awarded the St George Bank Immortals Trophy at the 2007 club awards.
In 2008, Cooper was again selected for NSW, playing in all three State of Origin clashes. He was also named in the 46-man preliminary training for the World Cup and was considered a likely replacement for injured Broncos centre Justin Hodges. But a groin injury forced Cooper to withdraw.
Also in 2008, Matt Cooper agreed to terms with the Dragons for a further three years, until the end of 2011.

Courtney, Ed Jnr. S, 1931, 6 games. 1t (3pts). Ed Courtney Jnr played alongside his famous father Ted Courtney at Wests in 1924.
League pioneer and a member of the first Kangaroos, Ted Courtney actually signed with St George as part of the new NSWRL at Rockdale Town Hall in 1908. At that meeting, a St George Rugby League club was formed, but unfortunately folded when only three players signed following pressure from the Rugby Union.

Fought back a form slump to regain his first grade spot in 1999 before injury forced him out the starting lineup for that year's grand final.

As winger, he scored the match winning try for Qld in the 1994 State of Origin against NSW. With one minute to go and trailing 12-10, the Maroons began deep in their own half. The ball went through 10 sets of hands before Coyne took the final pass to score.

Donated the proceeds of his testimonial dinner to children's charity and later spoke out in favour of the Dragons returning to Kogarah Jubilee Oval.
In 2004, Mark Coyne was named on the revamped NRL judiciary panel.

A promising schoolboy basketballer and member of the Wollongong Hawks youth squad.
Debuted for Saints on Sunday 10th August, 2003 at Kogarah Jubilee Oval.
Initially a winger, Creagh became a valuable utility player at centre before slotting into the back row. Selected in 2004 Junior Kangaroos squad.
In 2005, Ben Creagh was named in the 23-man Australian Tri-Nations squad which toured New Zealand, Great Britain and France. He gained selection in the second row for the Kangaroos on November 12 when Australia defeated France 44-12 in Perpignan
In 2006, Creagh was a Country Origin rep.
In June 2006, Creagh agreed to terms with St George Illawarra for a further three seasons, until the end of 2009.
In 2007, Creagh played in every match on offer (24 appearances) and was rewarded with the club's best player award, the St George Bank Medal. He was also awarded the 'Red V Members Player of the Year' as decided by supporters.
On the 2007 representative scene, Creagh played one match for NSW Country but was never far away from state and international considerations.

Born in 1972 in Port Kembla and a Port Kembla junior, John Cross was a
member of the NSW under 17s/18s/19s/ from 1989-91 before representing City Firsts in 1992-3.
Captained the Steelers to a narrow 11-10 loss to the touring Great Britain side in 1992 and was captain of Illawarra again in 1993.

Cross signed with the Dragons for 2003 after five seasons with Penrith and played 19 more games before retiring to take up a position as the 2004 Steelers Jersey Flegg coach.
